Hello,
I work at a youth drop-in where we get donated computers. Sometimes, we get some and cannot get to it right away. I found this computer which was pretty good in terms of quality but it has a login/password that no one in my office seems to know.
It has Windows ME. Problem is, we do not have that kind of WINDOWS in our office. We have WINDOWS 98 and XP.
My Question: I cannot seem to get into the computer. How can bi-pass the login/password?
Thank you very much for any help,
DN

Howdy:
Once it boots up and you get the password request, just click on "cancel"..

Hello,
>Is it getting to the Windows screen before this password request pops up??
Not sure what you mean. The Windows screen appears briefly and I can get to set-up before it gets to the password request. I cannot do anything to get by the password request though.
Although I would prefer an easier solution (I am not that great with computers), could I install WINDOWS XP by slipping in the boot disk. Once it is installed (or if it can be), I could use the password cracker than. I am not even sure it can run WINDOWS XP.
Thanks for the help so far,
DN

Try leaving the password blank.. Also, on the logon screen, is there anything showing other than the Username and password boxes??

Did not work. There is a HELP button but it does nothing except tell me what to do to login.
