creating a Splash screen

Hi there.

Does anyone know the code or know where I can find the code to create a splash screen for a simple web site. Heres hoping I'll be 2nd time lucky, you guys sorted me out PDQ last time.

Hi,

Can you show me an example of a website that has the kind of thing you want ? The reason I ask is that I can think of several effects that could all be called a splash screen that are equally each very different.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but I think you are looking for some sort of animated opening to your web site. If so Macromedia Flash is probably what you are after.

However animated opening pages often detract from a site, because of the time they take to load. Surfers often move on because of this.

If I'm on the wrong track, please explain what it is that you are after, and give a link to an example, and we'll help if we can.

I think between a friend and myself we may have sorted it. http://www.selfprotectionsystem.co.uk/index.html This is the kind of effect we wanted for this site although sometimes the pages dont quite appear as we'd like them to, but hey ho - trial and error.
