Web bar / Divider

I am trying to figure out a way I can make a web bar / divider with text words and a couple small pointers, (up and down ones) that I can display on my website. I have seen alot of nice free ones, but what I want is one the I can put words in. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

The dividers here are really cool, this is what I am looking for. Did they use Dreamweaver, FIreworks or what? I think I need to enroll in some classes about this kind of thing.

The graphics on that page are images with text. You'll need some kind of graphics program to make those. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, etc. You could make do with the Paint program on your computer.

I have Adobe Paint Shop but after I tried to make them, thy never look anything like those, I guess I will keep trying.

There are a ton of sites out that that have bars and dividers for your use. All you have to do is right click the image you want and save image. Maybe you could find one you like and then use your program to add text to it. Try doing a search for Bars and Dividers

Yeah, I've done that and have found some really cool ones, but the problem I am having, is I can't seem to get a chance to apply any text, or change any of them that have text on / in them. I have tried using my Adobe Photoshop and my PaintShop Pro, but nothing seems to work. Maybe I just need to learn them alittle bit more. THanks for you time in this matter.

Any that do happen to have text on them will be a major pain to try and change it because they will not be in .psd or .psp format. They will be a merged file not layered as well. When you get a graphic and you save it to your puter just click file/open/ then search for your graphic you saved and double click it when you get to it. When the graphic is sitting there looking like it needs something click the text button on the left hand side in your options. Then click on the graphic where you want the text to be. After the text is up you can move it around to desired position. You will be able to adjust the font size and stuff there. Just mess around with it you will figure it out. Here (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1-4-All-PSP/) is a good friends of mines psp group. They will be able to teach you how to work psp and use it to it's fullest. She is very talented and has an incredible amount of patience lol. They also have all kinds of tutorials. Good luck :wave:
