How to put "send to desktop" in send to

At one time I had the option to send something to the desktop but just noticed I no longer have that option when I right click on something. I have lots of options but that isn't one of them. How can I get that option back into my send to?

Hi MistyStar,
I'm sure someone will be along shortly with the reg hack, but here's what I do to add anything to the 'Send To' menu: simply drag and drop it in C:\Windows\Send To (in Windows Explorer).

hi Mistystar

Welcome, You should be able to create a shortcut for the application, copy it and paste it in C:\Windows\Send To, folder. as suggested by zipulrich.

Hope this works ffor you

Go to start >run and type sendto Press enter. this will open the sendto folder.

Click File >New >Text Document and type. (This will be in the namespace of the new file.)
Desktop as Shortcut.DESKLINK

Press Enter and click Yes.

That's it. You have the shortcut back.

Got it back and thanks to all of you for the help. All of your suggestions were great and I have copied them down in the event I loose it again. Don't know how I lost it in the first place.
I love this forum as I have always gotten great information and help.
Thanks again,
Misty
