WiFi network

My laptop has suddenly stopped connecting to any web sites even although my laptop shows me connected to my wifi network its as if fire fox cant see the available connection and keeps trying to use another connection on my laptop .
The rest of the network is working fine i dont know why this has suddenly happened Any clues guys Im sure its something blindingly obvious
the laptop uses XP home

Have you run a spyware or virus scan lately? Sometimes spyware can break browsers and winsock layers. If you go to a command prompt and type ping yahoo.com what kind of output do you get maybe post it here so we can have a look.

Hey thanks for the help but it was only me being a thick head , id entered the wrong network key
