Please Help Blank Screen Lattitude

My screen is on users sign in only mode and this morning has only had a blank screen but I can hear the background sounds. Can anyone tell me how to open the screen it is completedly blank and I cant even bring up the start up buttons I have Nothing.... Please help...

Did you check all your connections to see if their tight?

Also if you have access to another monitor try it to see if it's the monitor itself.
