windows 2000

i have a lap top with no floppy drive and want to reinstall the same operating program but have no disk... was given to me by a friend, he threw the disks away, he really didnt know they were important.

ok then i cant install winows 200 without a disk then?

You are going to have a disk.Ask you friend if he/she may still have the disk some where? Get a disk

fx,
if your friend disposed of the W2K OS disk, then you are going to have to purchase a new OS disk. Unless you have a specific reason for using W2K, I suggest you install Windows XP Home.
