Problem with Shortcut error messages
I was in the middle of downloading printer drivers off of HP's website when a major power outage occured.
Later on, when the system recovered, I found the original CD that contained all of the drivers and tried to complete the install locally. HP psc 2110 all-in-one. Now, whenever I log onto the PC I get the following error message. "the drive or network connection that the shortcut 'hpoddt01.exe.lnk', 'officejet 6100.lnk' refers to is unavailable". I located both files on my PC under "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup, but I don't know if I should delete them or move them to another folder. Thanks |

Welcome
![]() These are only shortcut files and will not cause any problems by deleting them. What it means is that the shortcut cannot find the program it is looking for, so it may mean that you have not reinstalled those programs again yet.
