Reverse Phone Lookup

Anybody know where to reverse lookup cell phone numbers for free, or if its even possible. The white pages offer reverse lookup for residential land lines, but I have a few cell numbers in my phone under the names: A or B, or something like that and I haven't a clue how to find out who's number it is without paying for it???

Don't know about the US but here in Australia this information is protected by privacy laws. The law is broken by individuals, who copy the whole phone book into a database and do searches for a fee, but pay a lot if caught.

I guess if it is a serious matter, the police have the power to get this information, but other than that it may not be possible. I guess it depends on the privacy laws there.

Thanks for the replies though, I guess I'll just have to call them, although I'm not too sure I'm gonna want to talk to them.
