Can any one imput on this procedure regarding WinME?
- How to get in to set min and max
- Where to set the min and max. I've heard to set max no higher than 512.
- Any draw backs to doing this?
My X-plane sim encounters gameplay problems with the 1024 which was verified after going back to 512.
Thanks,
-Scott.

Hi there
The general rule of thumb for virtual memory is one and one half times your Ram.
Eg; 512 MB Ram X 1.5 = 768 MB Virtual Ram
• Here is the path to accomplish this for Windows XP
1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > System
2. Select the Advanced tab
3. Under Performance, select the Settings button
4. Click the Advanced tab
5. Under Virtual Memory, click the Change button
6. Select Custom Size radio button (if not selected); change both the Initial size and the Maximum size to one and a half times your RAM. (EG. 1.5 X 512 MB RAM = 768)
7. Click Set > Click Ok
8. Click Ok > Click Ok

Hey thanks.
I think it's a bit different for ME, but I'll give it a shot this weekend.
Anyone else?
-Scott.

well you could get "CacheMan" which has an option to fix 1024mb issues and will also make your PC run faster by using the memory more effiecently taking the strain off your HDD and Virtual Memory.
