I'm switching over from ME to XP Home version. What is the best way to copy files over? Some programs I've reinstalled, but when I try to restore data from a floppy, it's not recognized, or the ME assigns one file extension and the XP is looking for a different one?? It surely can't be as easy as renaming the file - I tried that it didn't work!

Could you post back some examples of the files you are referring to? Or what program/device supports the problem files? It could be a matter of compatability, or the location where the files are copied to as factors. Post back and we'll see what input can be offered here.
