DEAL!
Mishy cured me of this post count stuff..Oh---boy---did--he--ever.. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

SOOoooooooo...I'm going to try to keep my count below 100 "somehow"...Idea no.ONE:When I come to visit this board,I'll roam thru all the threads and anyone that I'm going to reply to,I'll copy & paste /quote all on one post.
Idea no.TWO: Have none... http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif These gray matters can't think past one paragraph...

Test no.1...I was going to post this in the "I'm not sure" forum.

I posted this at Tigs also...
Maybe one of you all can come up with some answers!

The party got me inspired about sound files being embeded into pages. It was one of Rosewoods sounds that I liked. So then I combed through my files and didn't already have the puppy, Guess what....I borrowed hers...he he. Now I've got a few questions about the sound file I embeded in one of my webpages. What I did was embed it so that Netscape and IE browsers users could hear the music. iCad is so far out of luck? As far as the type, well at first I tried .aif which didn't seem to work so swift. I asked Buzz about .aif and he suggested I use .mid or .wav which he was correct. I couldn't convert the file to .wav "why,I have no idea" so it's in .mid...

Here comes the questions..

One: From what I understand .wav is more stable than .mid ! Is that correct? Also
is stable the appropriate wording?

Two: When one opens the thumbnail pic to the full picture, the sound file stops.
Is it possible to make the sound file play while a visitor views my pictures???

Three: What is the deal with iCad? Is there a work around for it?

The sound file is in my "Special Events page" on my Photopage web-site, see my sig...he he..
Or here is the url http://palws.tripod.com/Special.html

Any ideas or advice would be appreciated... Thanks Bill

Hey Bill,

We've missed you around here !!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

1) I don't think stable would be the right word unless someone knows better http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Wav files can sound better though tend to be bigger.

2) Why don't you just loop it ????

3) Best ask someone else http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif I've never used it.

General Discussion ???? I think Kimmys gonna tell you off dude http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hey Bill....

#1) I'd say .wav files are jsut more compatible... and Mishy's right they generally sound better and are bigger files.

#2) I think the reason the sound stops is because the viewer is taken to a new page. If you simply made all the links open in a new window and leaft the thumbnail page up in the background the tunes would continue.

#3) As far as I've heard there isn't a work-around for iCab. It's so small that it's hard to find any good clear info on it. It is a great browser though. But remember it is a lot more limited than NS or IE that's why it's so small.

— Side bar... Hey the firey pic.... a guy I work with has that as his wallpaper.. LOL.. now I know where he got it!
