Weird Thing need advice

Hi,

I am going to backtrack a bit here.
The system has a new hd in her for about four months now.
More ram as well.

Well this even when I was speaking to a friend via messenger monitor goes black then blue screen, with some works on it about irc something.......
And that it was dumping the physical memory?

OK I immediately turned system off then back on and now here I am asking for someone to please walk me through finding the error or help me find out what happened and what I need to do?

Thank you for the help.

GBU
BTW I use trillian as my messenger and we were speaking via yahoo through it.

If this was a one-time-thing...forget about it.

From your event log it looks like your network card (ether card) is on it's way out. The crash
was the network card had lost it's "online ability" briefly and Windows was looking for it and
then the crash occurred.

Is your Windows 2000 all updated?
Any software firewalls installed?
