I have been on my campus's network for three weeks now without any incident until yesterday when I opened iTunes for the day- and found that the other users' playlists on my network were gone. The triangle that expands the list of users is down indicating that it is displaying all of the users I can listen to- but there are none now. on my friend's pc in another room they're all there. I heard someone else a floor below me had the same problem recently- but suddenly her users reappeared. what is going on? I've restarted, played with preferences... what's wrong?

It can only be one of three things,
Your iTunes sharing prefs have changed, see iTunes/preferences.
The others have changed sharing prefs.
The network Admin has blocked the port.
Hope that helps.

it's definately non of those things. hate to be argumentative sounding like that... I've checked the preferences (edit, preferences, sharing, look for shared music). I know the others still share because I can find their music through ourtunes- and the fact that all of them can see each other. and it can't be the third option because shouldn't there be more cross-network stuff not working like my ability to use ourtunes to see their music?
