I am having many diffent email senders send me messages, they are all the same containing part words jumbled up.Each time I receive one I block the sender but still rceive the same message, does blocking the sender give out some message i.e. that the pc is operating etc or should I just delete them every time one arrives. The initial address all contain the same characteristic so I now block them without opening the email. Why would someone send over fifty daft messages containing rubbish?

Why would someone send over fifty daft messages containing rubbish?
Same reason you get phone calls at dinner time from people trying to get money from you
and same reason you get junk mail on your doorstep...they know where you live
(in this case they know your email address).
Be careful where you type your email address on the Web. Just because someone wants
it doesn't mean you can trust them not to "spam" you with useless emails. Unless I'm
buying something on a secure page or talking to a known-friend I won't type my email address
anywhere, doesn't matter how important the request for your email address sounds. It's like
someone asking for your social security number or drivers license number...way-too-personal-info.
If you were to put your email in this thread here the spammers have programs called harvesters
that scan Web pages for email addresses and they are added to a list.
NOW YOUR PROBLEM:
What do you use for email? Outlook Express? Web page email like yahoo.com or hotmail.com?

Oh, and blocking emails doesn't alert anyone.

Hi Everest thanks for your reply.I use Outlook Express, the puzzle is,why would someone send emails that contain jumbled words half words meaningless symbols etc. There is no request to respond or click on anything but no sooner do I block it then another one comes. The emails are all foreign names but are addressed in an identical way.

Blocking domain names (blahblah.com) doesn't work, they change their domain names with every email
and the domain names are fake anyways. You want to use the email message rules and block the
Subject names.
If I get a spam email and the subject is re[7] then I make a message rule to look for the subject
[7] and delete that email if one arrives with that word in the subject. I'll also delete...
[1]
[2]
[3]
[4]
[5]
[6]
[8]
[9]
I just use one email rule I made and keep adding subject words as the spam comes in. In my Outlook
my email message rule #5 has about 100+ separate words in it and the rule is set to delete them
(throw them directly into the Deleted Items folder). If a new spam arrives with some new word I don't
have then I open up #5 message rule and two-click Where the Subject line words and add
a new word or group of words like you have won or whatever words are in that particular spam.
And as to your question about why do they "jumble words" well it's because of the word deleting rules
we have setup in our message rules, they know how Outlook works and they know many users block
words like breast enlargement so the make the title breas+ enIargmen+ to get
past the message rule.
Keep adding words to the message rule and eventually the spam slows down in time. If a new one
comes in add some words to the message rule right away.
