Error messages and installation problems
my computer has had many problems lately so i have decided to reinstall windows.i put in my recovery disk and restart my computer like it says but it doesn't read the disk and never installs windows.I've tried to go through the BIOS utility to boot from disk but i can't find that option on my computer. Also, when i've started my computer the last few days,i recieve these error messages:
Cannot find C:\\GWFSR.exe GRA has caused an error Exception ElnOutError in module GRA.EXE at 00067885. File not found. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me!! |

Howdy racerchick189,
A bit of a late response here. If those errors are what I think and you have a Gateway pc, then that might be in your favor. The reference Here has a good walk through for solutions, including the Gateway Recovery System. If you this isn't what you need, post back and we can walk through accessing BIOS/recovery disk/reinstall ME issues.

I would like to recommend a cautious approach, so that you get the best results. Due to the recent error and any changes you might have made, best if you do a ME Restore first (check info Here). Then use This CTH tutorial to access your BIOS. Once there, use your arrow keys to navigate to a Boot option (listed differently in different BIOS), where you will see the boot order. If you check you will find instructions for changing this so CD-ROM is first. Load your recovery disk into the CD drive, then exit/save the BIOS changes, and it should reboot into the recovery operation.
