I had a system crash and now i have a problem. I built a new computer but all i have is the windows 98 upgrade. I hear that will do a full install on my new machine if i have a win95 boot disk and i do. How do i go about doing this???? Its driving me crazy.

Hi there
Yes, you can install a Windows 98 upgrade to a fresh (clean) hard drive.
However a Windows 95 boot disk will not do the trick.
Early on in the install procedure; you will be prompted for proof of an original Operating System and what you require is a Windows95 Cd or a Windows 3.1 Floppy disk to fullfill this request.
