Ok...I'm stumped!!! I downloaded Power Toys.......

[URL=http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUToys/W95PwrToysSet/Default.asp]

......and ended up with a pile of stinkin' icons on my desktop. Reading the README file....it said that to uninstall, go to the Add/Remove Programs and select the undesired PowerToy(s) and remove it from there. Well, there weren't any entries in Add/Remove.

I deleted all the icons from my destop successfully save for the XMouse.exe file icon. Trying to delete it results in a "Can't be deleted as file is in use by WINDOWS" message. What to do....what to do? I really would like to clear it from my system entirely. Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi jayro - welcome to CTH. Try booting into Safe Mode and see if you can delete it from there.
