how to change ip address?

Hi, I am using a Mac ibook g4 and my isp is comcast. I got this laptop 2 weeks ago and I noticed that my ip address has been the same all this time, at least I am pretty sure that it is so. I thought my ip was supposed to be dynamic. How could I change it significantly?

Why do you want to change it?

Generally high speed IPs stay the same for long periods of time. You can contact your ISP, reset your modem or reinstall the system software they will all get a new IP for you.
