hey everyone. i'm new here, so i hope i post the question in the right forum.

a few days ago some pics from my pc got deleted, along with some other stuff. i used a couple of restoration programs but i was only able to save a few pictures. the rest of them were restored as well, but i'm unable to see them with any program. the files are there, and in the right size, but they just won't open.

iv'e tried asking around and no one seems to have an answer for me, can someone here please help? i'll be greatful beyond words:)

Welcome :)

Unfortunately it may just be that the restore program could only restore part of the files. In this case the part that gives the name and file size of the file, but not actually all of the data content.

You may be out of luck :(

As you probably found out if you searched, there is software that claims to be able to salvage some corrupted jpg files. Some have free trials that let you see what can be saved if you purchase it.

Good luck.

I looked at a couple of links that I found but I can't vouch for how well any work. I've been lucky enough not to need one. kow.

This one sounds good but is expensive...

It might at least help you determine if there's anything worth salvaging.

I have read that people have had some luck opening files in Irfanview that won't open in other programs. It's free, worth a try.
