Turning on Num Lock at boot up

We have Windows 98 2nd edition. How do you configure the number lock key to be on when you boot up a computer. It was never set to go on from the start. Thanks for any help. Carol

Howdy BBL,
There are changes you can make in your config.sys file, but a less complex move is to change the setting in your BIOS. At startup, select the set up key displayed on the BIOS screen (F1, F3, DEL - depends on the BIOS). Use the arrow keys to navigate to find where to enable NUM Lock. For instance, on a spare pc here it is in Keyboard configuration (press Enter to go to submenu). Save changes and exit.
