Going Online

Im havin problems going online with my laptop (windows 95)
im on dial up so i just put my details from here to my laptop the dial up number password etc..
but wen i tried to connect it said Call Cannot Be Connected ?
and jus sed Dialing ??
Im pretty sure it as a modem !!

First make sure it has a modem in it and a working modem. Right click on my computor/properties/device manager ........look for a modem and see if it has any exclamation signs on it if not click on the +modem then click on the modem it says then click on properties and see if it says if it's working.
