Today, HP Technical Support advised me that it is better not to install Service Pack 2 because it will create problems in our system. When you update your Windows XP through internet, select "NO" when it asks you whether you want to install Service Pack 2 or not. Or else, before starting the process of installation, look for any Service Pack 2 choice, unclick or remove it. That will save you from further problems.

Hi UnknownWarrior

Are you also getting 'invalid product key error'?

I have not actually updated my Win XP yet. Mine is still Service Pack 1. But, I was advised by HP technical support not to select Service Pack 2 when there is a choice.
