Unhappy Need some help =(

Hey,

I believe my younger son deleted a program on the computer that messed with the display settings. I try changing the colors back to 32 bit but its only giving me 2 choices: 2 bit or 16 bit. Also all the icons seem big now as if it was in safe mode. As it turned out it wasnt in safe mode n i made sure.

Can anyone help me?
Is there a program to help me or do i have to go out and buy a new hardware?

Sorry i asked these Q's but i am really new to computers.

Hi

Try checking first if the video driver is still installed on the system. Right-click on My Computer, click on Properties, then Device Manager. See if there's a yellow symbol under Display Adapters.

If there is, you would need to reinstall your video driver.

Sometimes they will say that and not be. Click on Display Adaptors and it will show you what you have. Have your installation CD ready if you need it. Click on your adaptor and then click on remove. Then reboot. Windows should find them and re-install them but if not use your installation CD to reinstall them and see if that gives you all your colors back.
