Hello there,
Recently I tried to upgrade from ME to XP, thinking it was the way to go. How wrong! I wanted my ME OS back! No problem, the blurb during the upgrade said that I could uninstall XP at any time and go back to my old OS. Did that and it worked OK, I'm now back with good old ME.
During the upgrade process you encounter a DOS screen asking if you want to 'Carry on installing XP' or 'Cancel XP install'. Now my problem is that every time I boot up my computer I get this DOS screen asking me the same question. The 'Carry on Installing XP' choice is highlighted as default, so I need to scroll up to 'Cancel XP Install' and hit enter to carry on with the boot up. How can I get rid of this DOS screen on boot up? It doesn't stop ME booting up, but is very inconveniant!
Any ideas? Thanks, melter :)
