RW Drive cant read the RW Disk

My DVD RW Drive can not read my memorex cd rw when I put it in...It says nothing is there....help im lost

Was it burnt on your system or someone elses. Some drives arent capable of reading rw disks burnt on another system. This is usually firmware related. If you are burning it on your system, try and use another burning program or use windows explorer to copy the files to disk. also check the controllers in dev. manager to see if they have a bang on them. as a last step try removing the upper and lower filters fromthe registry

the registry key is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

the upper and lower filters will appear on the rightside. right click them and choose delete. reboot the system after that
