Angry Add background sound

Ok I'm working on a web site for my sisters daycare center she is wanting a few background sounds (as in kids songs) the only ones that they have to pick from are animal sounds that come with the web site. I have downloaded the songs she wants but web space only supportes wav or mini. I downloaded a converter and it saved it. but after i save it all u here is static when u go to the site. Would any one know how to fix this or what i could be doing wrong. The site I'm using help center is down due to the storms down south and lord knowes when it will be back up. by the way this seems like a perty good site just found it tonight looks like it could help alot. Keep up the good work...

I'm not sure about helping solve the "static" problem, but you should use caution when using downloaded music, making sure it's okay to be using it and not going against any copyright infringements.

Like I said, be very carefull, because paying to download music, and using that music on websites are two totally different things. Just because you've downloaded that music, it doesn't mean it's yours to use as you like. Let me put it another way, say you wanted to start up your own "disco" for parties/dances etc. You have all the equipment and CD's/records needed to make a great night for folks, but in doing that there's also the fact that you're most likely using "copyrighted" music. Most "DJ's pay a small fee that covers them for using/playing music, that fee covers any "copyrighted" material, it puts them in the "clear" of any legal action being taken against them.

Please don't think I'm trying to put you off doing this, it's entirely up to you, I'm just not too sure you know the full implications (sp) of doing such things.

As lufbra said, if the website is a commercial site then you could be in some trouble for using copyrighted material. I'm not a copyright expert but you should be aware of the financial implications.

When you converted it were you able to play it on your computer using Windows Media Player or some other audio software? How did you upload the file?
