Hey Everyone.

I have been thinking about upgrading my laptop computer to Windows 2000. Hopefully I don't have problems when it comes to finding the right drivers for my laptop computer, but the other thing that I am worried about is downloading the updates. My computer is only 300MHz with 96 MB of RAM in it, I only connect at 28.8 on the phone line and I haven't got a network to connect my laptop to high speed. Is there a way that I can download seperate updates for Windows 2000? Is there a way I can download Internet Explorer 6 and save it?

Before you think about updates let me ask you this...is that the max RAM you can install?

Ok thats better I'd at least get 128mb's in there. MS states the min as....

Minimum Requirements
Computer/Processor 133 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU.
Memory At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM; more memory generally improves responsiveness.
Hard Disk 2 GB with 650 MB free space.
CPU Support Windows 2000 Professional supports single and dual CPU systems.
Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive.
Display VGA or higher resolution monitor.
Keyboard Required.

As far as the updates go I would go to the MS updates webpage and see if you can order the SP4 rollout on cd. This way you could get the cd and after you install 2k just pop the cd in and do all the updates at once.
