Hi. Is there a way to tell what the megahertz of a PC is?
I have an IBM ThinkPad 775cse which is locked to a port replicator and I don't have the key to unlock the replicator to see what the model number is.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Nope John, not always.
jjhcatzj, can you install Belarc advisor (http://belarc.com)?

Hi jjhcatzj,
If you have directx installed (whicj you should :D):
click on Start -> Run -> "dxdiag"
this will open up the directx diagnostic control panel, you should be able to check your processor speed through this, if you cannot access the "run" command (due to restrictions etc)
it will be in your "c:\windows\system32\" directory.
Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the replies, guys. Smurphy, No, I'm not able to install Belarc.
Velocity, I am running Win95/B on this laptop. I don't see a system32 directory. just 'system'. I don't have directx installed.
I may try and upgrade this Laptop to Win98.
When I boot up and press PF2, I can get to the diagnostic test.
Is there a way to get to the BIOS info when booting up a Laptop?
I've had this problem with other IBM laptops.
Thanks, again.

Depends on the bios, try hitting one of these keys to get you into the bios.
F1
Delete
F12
F10 (Compaq's)
ESC
One of those should get you into the bios...
