Mouse Pointer Problem!

Hello Everyone: I was at my friends house last weekend and he has WindowsME, i made his mouse pointer Larger, easier to see. Now it flickers alot but not all the time even when idle and one time when i scrolled down using the scroll bar it disappeared altogether for as long as i held it down, but this doesn't happen all the time. When i was there i updated and ran A new antivirus scan and there were no virus's. How can i stop this mouse from flickering?

The MS remedy for mouse trouble is reducing hardware acceleration.

Right-click "My Computer"
Hit "Performance" Tab
Hit "Graphics" button

When the next window opens, move slider one notch to the left and hit "OK".

Then reboot....

See if this has any effect. If it doesn't help, you can always reverse this procedure.

OK...if it doesn't work and you come back, let us know what kind of mouse it is and if there is special mouse software. Like for example...Microsoft Intellipoint (version?)
