View Full Version : Windows Media Player Cannot Play Videos Online

WEll i had this problem i think when i had to reinstall my xp and now it doesnt work...like when i go to big video sites to watch some stupid videos the video will nver load...for example www.ebaumsworld.com ...that site wont let me play any of their videos...well only for windows media player format...i think...well i tried other sites aswell and still no luck...i also tried reinstalling windows media player and uninstalling but nada...o yeah i didnt install windows sp2 also because it wouldnt let me install cuz of some error...will that of affected my windows media player...well hope u guys find a solution for me...thanks in advance

I think this may be a problem with codecs. Codecs allow your media player to understand and be able to play videos encoded in certain ways.
I recommend Winamp (http://www.winamp.com) to you.

but then most of the videos online are in windows media player format and how can i watch it in winamp? im basically watching stream

if i were you, you could try to use windows media classics it can plays all
types of video files and as well as streams
try to download it here all the codecs plus the player
