I would like to have each of us describe the view out your living room window. Seeing how we live in different areas, I think that would be interesting. Would that be a virtual tour?
Id'e go first but its dark here, very dark!!

Hey,
I see....
A couple of trees that look like palm trees - I'm no botanist http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
One Tree Hill - which is what it sounds like except the Hill is an extinct volano
Beautiful blue skies - summer is coming http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
and a swimming pool.
...least that's what I see when I remember our old house here in New Zealand.
This house we're in now really sucks !!!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/frown.gif

Now the bedroom window overlooks Newcastle so i see a big dirty river and a big dirty city and ermmm Gateshead Stadium. Thats about it.
Mishy - Is NZ like Oz where they call places Wooloowologong and stuff like that? Why couldn't they have named Newcastle like that? I wanna live in a place like that. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Nah Sharpy, more like things like:
Waikikamukau
(Pronounce Why Kick a Moo Cow)
or
Eketehuna
(Eck a ta hoon a)
We have Maori place names. Aussies have to suffer the Aboriginal placenames.
Then we've got two neighbouring old towns in the South Island name (believe it or not) Gore and Clinton. They've just renamed the road that joins them the "presidential highway" http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
btw - when I look out my window, I see my fence. Even at night beacuse there's a streetlight directly outside.

Hey,
Yeah I've been to woolloomooloo in Australia - pronounced woolloomoolloo
and to Wollongong too lol
Geez everytime I saw a bus I was laughing ma head off http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
My favourite place names in NZ would have to be Whakapapa - pronounced Fock - a - papa
and Mount Cheeseman lol
Yeah nice place names make things a little cheerier. Better than driving to Crewe, or Fife !!!
Still the welsh place names are nice too. I have no chance in hell of being able to say them let alone spell them though hehehe http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sharpy, Bedroom windows dont count~It must be a living room window. Surely you must leave your puter at sometime to have a look-see?? http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif
MiShY.. where would we be without our memories? Sorry you have to live in a sucky place.

Mishy - Yeah normal place names are far too boring but i'd rather live in Whakacrappa(or whatever) than Wales. I don't care how wierd thier names are thier weather is still as bad as it is here. At least you get funny names and great weather.
Your not serious about the Gore/Clinton thing are ya?
Welsh place names are easy ya just bang a load of letters together than stick agogogo on the end.
Carol - I went down stairs once to got to answer a call of nature(being posh ya see http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif) and i missed an email. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/eek.gif Now i've drilled a hole in the floor i have no more worries. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif
I'm told that the view from the living room window just shows an over grown garden(ours) and the dull looking house oppissite.(hmmm spellings gone again:mad http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well I guess its my turn to describe the view from my front window.
Our house sets up on a hill and we overlook scenery that is beautiful at all times of the year. There is a farm of over 300 acres of rolling hills with a big barn setting all by itself. Its all meadow used for hay for the cows scattered all about.
There is a river that meanders between the hills that usually has geese swimming on it.
In between all these meadows stands one hugh tree with a small family cemetary under it.
That is not my property, I also see about 2 acres of our front yard with some pine trees, dog wood and maple trees. And lots of grass to mow!!
Any evening you can count the deer in the meadow and we have had as many as 64 wild turkeys in our yard at one time. There are no houses in view. Just blue sky with big white puff clouds...For years now, West Virginia has been know as "almost heaven". http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
As far as an emu.. i do believe they eat anything they can reach..and they are UGLY>
Buzz, i have hundreds of old Country Living magazines that I have saved and ide be glad to send ya some?...
