When i load up my computer, a message headed RUNDLL appears, it reads

Error loading powrprof.dll

A device attached to the system is not functioning.


This is closly followed by another message headed Error starting program, reading

The powrprof.dll file is linked to missing export ADVAPI32.DLL:RegOpenCurrentUser.

I cannot seem to be able to sort out this problem and it is disrupting my computer, any ideas how to sort it out.

I know the article states that it is for Windows 98 but it will work for ME as well.

I belive you use Run\MSconfig, and there you will find an "extract" button to get the file you need off of the ME CD.
