When I check properties of my hard drive the pie chart shows the drive as all free (purple). But the boxes lists the correct amount of used, and free space. I have a Maxtor Hard drive. Win95B This used to work, any thoughts will be appreciated.
Thanks

Um, not too sure about that.
I take it you've tried running scandisk? Win95 records the amount of free space on the drive and this can get out of sync with what's actually there, causing the pie-charts to show some odd things.
Err, dunno what else could be causing that.
I'll have a think about it.

By the way - how big is the hard drive? Some sizes can cause Win95 head-aches.

I did run scan disc, and it hasn't changed, this is a 8.38 gig Hard drive, It has been working properly. I could probably try a complete reinstall of everything and get it to work, but I was hoping for a more simple fix. Thanks for any thoughts.

I don't know what causes that but I have seen it a other W95 systems - it doesn't appear to hinder the operation of anything in the OS or applications & all the actual numbers of bytes used / free appear to be correct.

All flavours of w95 had the problem to show more than 2Gigs of free space in the pie chart, just ignore it, it's only the graf messed up, no function affected, no fix for this other than upgrade to w98.;)

Thanks Froggie, Herb and Alfons for the posts, it's just a minor annoyance, I thought maybe someone might have an easy fix for it. The pie chart will work correctly if you check the floppy drive or my CD drives. Just shows all free space on my C: drive (Hard Drive) Thanks again to all.
