Seeking online instructions, with illustrations, for refilling ink cartridges for a HP 1210 scanner, cartridge numbers 56 (black) and 57 (color) Code: C9321AN#140

I have the ink, have the syringe, just need to know Where on the cartridge to drill the refill hole.

First off, wear something old.
Second, use the gloves that came in the kit. Wash anything off your skin SOON with COLD water.

On the 56 and 57, you need to peel the HP label back on the top. Insert the syringe in the right hand hole of the black one, you should be able to feel some sponge inside the cart.
Depress the plunger S L O W L Y. Mop up any overfill with a tissue. REseal the label.
For the colour, you need to follow the same procedure but I honestly cant remember what colour goes in what hole. Try to look it up on the refill manufacturers site, if the insert instructions don't cover it.

Good luck, hope the stains will come out eventually ;)

It should be noted that attempting to refill ink cartidges will probably void your warranty.

It is, I suppose, possible that refilling ink cartridges might void a warranty. However, considering how printer manufacturers are raping the public with predatory pricing on cartridges, if a refill damaged the machine, I would go out and buy a brand-new machine, same model, keep the receipt and box, and then just return the damaged one.....not go through the immense hassle and expense of trying to comply with warranty requirements. They deserve this, because it is clear they have deliberately designed the cartridges to hold a tiny amount of ink, and have priced them at about twenty times what it costs to manufacture them, because they know they have you hostage once you have bought the machine. I have NEVER damaged either of my printers by using refills, and I have been doing this for two years.
