Hi Guys,
I am new to networking and need some help,could someone please tell me the best and quickest way to connect two pc's together to both receive the internet thanks in advance for any help.

A little more info is needed. What kind of internet service do you have (dialup, broadband)? If you have broadband, how is the modem currently connected (USB,ethernet)? Are the PCs near each other or is it 'easy' to run wire between them?

Thanks for the reply,i have bt broadband and is is connected via the usb port,this pc is downstairs and the other is upstairs,shouldn't be any problem running any cables to the other one.

OK one more question. Does the modem provide the option to connect with ethernet instead of USB ? Because the ideal configuration would be
MODEM to ROUTER
ROUTER TO EACH PC via ethernet (cat5)
There are a couple of routers that allow you to connect a USB modem into them, but not many and they are a little more expensive than routers that only accept ethernet connections.
