It's free from Microsoft (yes, even shipping charges) at this link.

Edit: Didn't see above post. Sorry.

You probably should remove Sasser and all other malicious software first before installing SP2. Microsoft has a Malicious Software Removal tool that you could burn to a CD and bring over to the computer (it supposedly can remove Sasser, but I never tried it), or you may just want to consider reinstalling. In that case, you could slipstream XP.

Edit 2: Try the Symantec removal tool zipulrich gave a link to. It probably works better than Microsoft's.

[I've used this Sasser removal tool many times, with good results.]

[Edit - sorry for your edit, Pi. (end edit)]

Man, I was going to say something real sarcastic (and quite funny, truthfully) but I've decided to be kinder & gentler, thanks to Jaak.
You can install a slipstreamed version, no problem. Pi was referring to the fact you don't wanna install SP2 on an infected system.

[Another edit: the sarcasm wasn't going to be dircted toward you, tossed - it had something to do with bowling. Maybe it wasn't as funny as I'd thought....]

Like zipulrich said, you can install it, but you would have to reinstall XP with that CD and lose any files you put on the computer that you didn't backup first. You don't want to install SP2 if you have any malicious software, or your computer might not work after installing SP2. You may want to try an online virus scanner such as Housecall or ActiveScan (links are in my signature) before installing as well.

PS: I'm not sure how bowling and slipstreaming relate (I have some ideas of possible things to say related to my posts here or elsewhere, but not related to slipstreaming).

(The bowling reference was gonna be a semi-humorous response to "...then whats the point?")
