Ok. So I'm really confused. Yesterday my mother bought a router and a laptop, so that on the laptop we could get internet access. Anyway, I followed all the instructions and finally I got the internet up on the laptop... great I thought. Later on however, I went on the actual PC and the internet wasn't working... everything seemed to be fine and in place. Today I noticed on here [the laptop] in the corner there is a computer with a red x and hovered above it and it said 'a network cable is unplugged'. I haven't a clue what I'm meant to do and I'm assuming this is the reason for the PC not having internet access? I don't understand how this one is though, if the other one is not. Hopefully I explained clear enough.... pleeeassseee help.

Welcome :)

Give more details about the ISP and Router. ADSL or Cable?
Did you follow the instructions correctly?
Have you setup the router correctly in the config?

Hey... never mind... thankyou anyway. It's all done and dusted. Everything appears to be working properly now =) I just had to buy something to put in the back of the tower of the PC.
