scan/print

hi,win98 s.e. when i use my Artec Ultima 2000 e+ scanner,and COPY it prints
out with a pale blue marble effect background,yet when i PRINT something else
the background is white(just the text in black)
can anyone help please.

When you Copy it should copy everything it sees. I don't know why it adds a background. Is the marble background not on the original? It might be a feature of the Copy program. Did you want to disable that?

When you want to Print you have an option in Page Setup to change how it prints. There's a checkbox to print or not print Background (colors & images). That's there so you don't waste time and ink printing useless backgrounds. If you want to print everything just checkmark the box.

hi, i am on win 98s.e Lexmark z23 printer,artec ultma2000e+ scanner.
yes would like to not print colour background,
no check box in page setup, it was plain text on a plain A4.

HI, just to say all sorted,went into scanner settings and switched
from colour to black&white no more coloured background.also
when you scan small articles and print it used to print a black
background,i have covered the inside of scanner lid with an A4
now there is no wasted ink.thanks everybody.
