new here need help

i have an imac and don't feel like being held up by apple every time in need help. I am hoping you can help. I downloaded a photo program and every time i try to use it it says there is no default application to open it. then when i click choose application it opens. But it won't let me choose one. no matter what i do it won't ligh up the open button. if i don't get help i am going to throwe the computer out of the window

Hi dozuxi,

You're sure it's an application? Is it compressed in an archive?

Try going to www.stuffit.com and download the free stuffit expander. Drop the application onto it and see if it decompresses.
