Problems clicking on email address in webpage

I am using Microsoft Outlook for my email. When I am in a webpage and I click on an icon to send an email, about 15 new explorer windows open with errors which temporarily lock my PC up.
How do I get my PC to access Outlook to send an email from a webpage icon?

Hi,

It sounds like you either have some malware or a virus causing your OS to run multiple instances of outlook, run your checkers and see if they find anything. If they don't, post back and I'll have another think.

Hope this helps

Arrow ColoBob Microsoft Outlook

I agree with GMac222 it sounds like you have some malware or a virus causing your OS to run multiple instances of outlook.

Try the following and emidiatly afterward run a complete virus scan and if you use Norton go here and download the manual updater to close any security holes and patch vulnerability isuses.

When should I use msconfig to change the system configuration utility startup settings?

You should use msconfig to shutdown programs that run in the background, and programs that show up in the system tray that you do not need on startup. When programs load automatically on startup they use valuable system resources and cause your pc to run slower and lockup.

The only programs you really need to have run at startup are firewalls, antivirus programs and if you use a stock market ticker tape program. By using msconfig and turning off startup programs it will free up memory and the processor so you will notice faster speeds and it will help with slow browsing and pc lockups.

Go to the link below and click on the video link to see how to do this.

Be aware that you can only use the update Mindsplitter linked to if you have Norton installed and your subscription is paid for.
