“invalid argument” in IE 6

Can anyone help? When I use internet explorer and if I right click on a picture to set it as my background I get an error message “invalid argument”. This is a new install of XP pro with sp 2 it worked fine but just started giving this message. The images I try clicking on are not copyrighted etc. other computers do not have this issue. This computer has been checked for spyware nothing any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
