Internet Disconnects - see question...
Alright, this has been frusterating me long enough I suppose I'll ask you lot. First off, I have dial-up, which connects at 26.4k (I know, rural life isn't the best for internet...).
I never used to have any problems with my internet disconnecting, never happend. Ever since some relatives who live their lives on the internet (or would sure as hell like to) moved in with us, every time - I repeat EVERY time they dial-up on their computer when I'm already connected, it will kick me off, then dial-up on there computer, then I cannot get on. Both phone lines run into the same box (er...dial from the same number), so they obviously cannot both be dialed up at once, but how come when they dial-up it can disconnect me, but when I do so it never disconnects them? It's really frusterating since I can be disconnected at any time, whenever they decide they want to go on - no matter what I'm doing. I'm not sure if this is an internet thing or networking but any help in keeping my line connected and not disconnected when they dial-up would be great. --Thanks. |
