Exclamation Website won't load; pop-up w/ file download request

I've been using the same website everyday for school and all of a sudden it won't load and the security information bar pops up asking if I want to download two unknown files. If I click no, the website remains blank, nothing loaded. I clicked yes & saved them (the only options were save & cancel) and then opened them with internet explorer and between the two of them they contained all the information on the website, but nothing is active or can be clicked on, it's just an image of the website.

Why is the site not loading correctly, and how do I fix this problem? I had been using the site fine just 10 minutes earlier, and now it won't load at all.

Thanks!

Hi annicole27

Delete all the Cookies and Temporary Internet Files to see if it helps.

Delete Cookies:

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools>> Internet Options
Click the Cookies button

Delete Temporary Internet Files:

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools>> Internet Options
Click the Delete Files button
Place a check mark in the Delete all Offline Content checkbox
Click OK

Thanks for helping:

I cleared both the cookies & temp internet files and still no luck.

By the way, the file extension that wants to be downloaded is .cgi

Can I download it and save it and file it somewhere so that IE can access it? or maybe this is something wrong with the website that is not specific to my computer.

thanks
