Is there a way to take a screenshot of a running movie (windows media player) because when I take a screenshot and paste on paint, it just shows a black screen..

If you use Windows Media Player to take a screenshot of a video you need to turn off vedio acceleration. The easy way to do that is to open up the player then click "tools" on the top tool bar. Go down to "options" and click it. Now in the Options box click the "Performance" tab and look at the bottom of the box you should see "video acceleration with a slider bar and two tabs under it. Click the tab for "Restore Defualts" that will allow you to click on the slider and slide it all the way back to "none". After that just click "Apply" and close the player. Now when you open the player and start your video take a screenshot then paste to paint it should work. Just be sure the set WMP back to how it was because you don't wanna be playing vid's with no acceleration all the time. Hope this helps and if you run into trouble post back.
