A friend of mine has recently burdened me with another computer..
Originally had Windows 95 installed on it, but every time he turned it on he got a registry error and it asked him to shutdown. He decided to fdisk the C:.
He went through with that without error, shut down the computer and restarted it to find "Invalid System Disk Replace the disk, and then press any key".
That is when he decided that the computer was not worth the time to him, and delivered it to me. I have tried Dos disks (5.0 & 6.0) And Both Win95a and Win95 b boot disks from bootdisk.com as well as the original floppy disk labelled Cd Rom Setup Boot Disk, and CD-Rom that came with the computer, each prompting the computer to respond with the above quote.
I cannot access a Dos Prompt. The Error message appears in the second startup screen. Can anyone tell me how to bring this tortured clone back to life?
- I should also note that I have used the following boot sequences with each disk - (A, C, SCSI) (CDROM, C,A) (C,CDROM, A) (D, A, SCSI) to no avail, And when the drive was formatted, /s switch was not included in the command.
