Internet Explorer Chat does not seem to be functioning on my computer.

I am having a problem with chat on web pages. For example, I am unable to contact a technician at the McAfee site. I am also unable to open Yahoo! sports simulations of games, etc. The box where these should open just sits there.

Hi kthess101 - Check your browser settings to make sure that you have Java enabled. Go to Tools, Internet Options and click on Security Settings. Click Custom and make sure that your Java permissions are not disabled and that Active Scripting and Scripting of Java Applets are enabled.

If that doesnt work, it might help to reinstall MS Virtual Machine. Yours might need upgrading anyway. You can check what build you have on this link. The latest build is 3805 but because of the legal issues with Sun, Microsoft have withdrawn it from their all their download links however you can download it from here

I received an email today from kthess101. The problem was solved by installing MS Virtual Machine.
