Hello to everyone in the forums
I’m trying to set up a costless network by adding 2 or more nic in my pc1 running XP Pro the purpose of this is so I can limit the Bandwidth on pc2 pc3 etc

The problem is, I can see the whole LAN and browse networks but pc2 and 3 etc cannot access the Internet.

pc1 ADSL modem 10.1.1.1 DHCP is off

pc1 nic 1 10.1.1.2
subnet 255..0.0
default gate 10.1.1.1
pc1 nic 2 10.1.1.3
255.0.0.0
default gate 10.1.1.2 or 1

my billion router has a range of 192.168,1.254 i will try and force it to a 10 somehow??

pc2 nic is 10.1.1.5
sub 255.0.0.0
default is 10.1.1.4

No success! I’ve also tried 192 ranges

Here is a diagram...
Can some one please help I’m lost and no where to go?

Two questions for you..

!. How do you plan to limit bandwidth for other pc's on your lan with this setup?

2. Based on your diagram are you using ICS to share NIC1 on pc1?

This setup is kinda odd because you look to be using ICS yet there is a router in the middle. If you want that router to act as a switch then you will need to change some things in its config. Have you thought about getting a router that does QOS or bandwidth limiting?
