I am running win XP Pro on puter #1. win 98se on puter #2 and #3

These puters were connected together via an 8 port [old] ethernet hub. In #1 puter there was an internal dsl modem. Everything worked great. All units could see everone else and access the inrternet.

The internal dsl died.

I got a new EXTERNAL dsl. In order to connect it , I had to disconnect my hub, completely.

The new dsl has 1 ethernet connection and 1 usb connection. I connected #1[ win xp] via the usb supplied line the the new modem usb. The second puter is connected to the external modem by the ethernet cable. The third puter is NOT connected to anything.

Here is my problem: puter 1 & 2 can now connect to the internet via the external modem. BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>They cannot see each other or puter #3

Now I have no local network.

How do I connect all 3 puters back together so they can interact and all 3 have access to the internet thru the external modem.

I have 1 ethernet connection available on computer 1 & 3 but now none on #2

Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

How were things connected before?

Internet<-->PC1<-->HUB<-->PC2 & PC3 ? Why can't you still do this?
Your other option is to get a router that provides NAT (most home ones do) and set it up like this:

Internet<-->Modem<--->router<-->PC1 & PC2 & PC3

Connect the modem to computer #1 via the USB connection. Connect computer #1 to the hub via ethernet. Connect computer #2 to the hub via ethernet. It should work now.
