All links in Outlook Express Mail Won't work

I am using IE 6.0.29 with SP2 update and all at once any link sent to me in mail on Outlook Express will not work. The only way I can go to the link is to copy Shortcut and past into IE. In addition many but not all links on web pages when using Internet Explorer will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have uninstalled IE and Outlook express and re installed them but that did not help.
